Join us for a deep dive into the practice of Metta 

In the retreat will we will gently open, soften, and expand our capacity for love, compassion, and connection.

Through guided meditations, heart-opening yoga, Dhamma talks, mindful walking and sitting, and other practices, we will explore:

  • Developing Loving-Kindness Towards Ourselves

  • Extending Compassion Towards All Beings

  • Experiencing Sympathetic Joy and Embracing the Happiness of Others

  • The Nature of Dhamma in Relationships

  • Expanding Our Capacity for Happiness and Joy

Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Last day 'till 7:00PM)

Optional Evening Sessions

  • Cacao Ceremony and Meditation

  • Metta Meditation (sitting & walking)

  • Heart-Opening Yoga

  • Dhamma Talks and Guided Meditations

  • Compassion & Forgiveness Practices

  • Journaling & Reflection

The Retreat is open to everyone on a donation basis.  However, for those who wish - we can provide accommodations, breakfast, and lunch at a reasonable fee.

Theme: Turning inward, cultivating loving-kindness for self.

  • 10:00 – 10:30 AM – Opening Cacao Ceremony w/ Katya

  • 10:30 AM - Silence Begins

  • 10:45 – 11:00 AM – Metta Instructions

  • 11:00 – 11:45 AM – Guided Sitting Metta (Self)

  • 11:45 – 12:00 PM – Short Q&A


Afternoon (2:00 – 6:00 PM)

  • 2:00 – 2:30 PM – Sitting Metta (Self)

  • 2:30 – 3:00 PM – Walking Metta

  • 3:00 – 3:45 PM – Dhamma Talk: The Importance of Self-Love + 4 Brahmaviharas

  • 3:45 – 4:00 PM – Break

  • 4:00 – 4:30 PM – Walking Metta

  • 4:30 – 5:00 PM – Sitting Metta

  • 5:00 – 5:45 PM – Guided Heart Connection Practice

Day 2 – Love to Others

Theme: Opening the heart to others – loved ones & neutral people.

  • 9:45 – 10:15 AM – Metta Instructions (Loved One / Karuna)

  • 10:15 – 10:30 AM - Break

  • 11:00 – 11:30 AM – Walking Metta (Loved One)

  • 11:30 – 12:00 PM – Sitting Metta (Loved One)


Afternoon (2:00 – 6:00 PM)

  • 2:00 – 2:30 PM – Sitting Metta (Loved One)

  • 2:30 – 3:00 PM – Walking Metta (Loved One)

  • 3:00 – 3:45 PM – Dhamma Talk: Metta in Relationships

  • 3:45 – 4:00 PM - Break

  • 4:00 – 4:30 PM – Walking Metta (Neutral Person)

  • 4:30 – 5:00 PM – Sitting Metta (Neutral Person)

  • 5:00 – 5:45 PM – Yoga Nidra / Compassion / Sympathetic Joy Visualization

  • 5:45 – 6:00 PM – Journaling & Reflection (Silence)


Day 3 – Difficult People & All Beings

Theme: Mudita, forgiveness, and universal loving-kindness.


Morning (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

  • 9:00 – 9:45 AM – Heart-Opening Yoga

  • 9:45 – 10:15 AM – Instructions + Reflection (Mudita / Difficult Person)

  • 10:15 – 10:30 AM - Break

  • 10:30 – 11:00 AM – Guided Sitting Metta (Difficult Person)

  • 11:00 – 11:30 AM – Walking Metta (Difficult Person)

  • 11:30 – 12:00 PM – Sitting Metta (Difficult Person)

  • 2:00 – 2:30 PM – Sitting Metta (Difficult Person)

  • 2:30 – 3:00 PM – Walking Metta (Difficult Person)

  • 3:00 – 3:45 PM – Dhamma Talk: Anger, Forgiveness, Kamma

  • 4:00 – 4:30 PM – Walking Metta (All Beings)

  • 4:30 – 5:00 PM – Sitting Metta (All Beings)

  • 5:00 – 5:45 PM – Tonglen Meditation + Instructions

  • 5:45 – 6:00 PM - Break

  • 6:00 – 7:00 PM – Closing Ceremony & Sharing Circle
